Safety Health and Environmental Specialist

Location: Waco, TX area

Salary up to: $70,000 per year

Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire | Monday - Friday | 8a-5p

A leading manufacturing facility in the Waco, TX area is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support safety and environmental compliance in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for helping develop and maintain safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong culture of workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain workplace safety programs
• Conduct safety training and new employee orientations
• Perform job hazard analyses, safety audits, and risk assessments
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations
• Investigate workplace incidents and implement corrective actions
• Assist with workers’ compensation and safety documentation
• Support emergency response planning and safety drills
• Lead safety meetings and encourage employee safety engagement
• Monitor environmental programs including waste handling and hazardous materials
• Maintain safety procedures such as Lockout/Tagout and confined space entry

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environments
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
• Experience conducting safety training and audits
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
