Executive Recruiter – Direct Hire / Technical & Engineering Staffing

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Recruiter with a background in staffing and direct hire recruiting to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a staffing firm environment recruiting for technical, engineering, sales, logistics, industrial, manufacturing, chemical, energy, logistics, or similar professional-level roles.

This individual will be responsible for developing client relationships, generating new business opportunities, sourcing and screening candidates, and managing the full recruitment lifecycle from intake through offer negotiation and placement.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with clients to understand hiring needs, technical requirements, culture, and business objectives
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients
• Conduct business development activities including cold calling, networking, client visits, and market research to identify new opportunities
• Source both active and passive candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, database mining, and other recruiting tools
• Utilize all available recruiting resources and systems to identify qualified candidates with targeted industry experience
• Screen and interview candidates to evaluate technical skills, industry experience, compensation expectations, and overall fit
• Prepare candidates for interviews by providing detailed information regarding the company, role, interview process, and expectations
• Conduct reference checks and coordinate background screenings as required
• Present qualified candidates to clients with detailed candidate summaries and recommendations
• Negotiate salaries, placement fees, relocation packages, counteroffers, and employment terms between clients and candidates
• Maintain consistent communication with clients and candidates throughout the hiring process
• Track recruiting activity and client communication within ATS and CRM systems
• Stay informed on market trends, compensation ranges, and industry hiring activity

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a staffing firm or executive search environment required
• Experience recruiting direct hire positions within technical, engineering, manufacturing, industrial, chemical, logistics, or similar industries strongly preferred
• Proven ability to recruit both active and passive candidates
• Strong business development and relationship-building skills
• Experience conducting candidate sourcing through job boards, LinkedIn, database searches, referrals, and networking
• Ability to effectively sell opportunities to candidates and represent client companies professionally
• Strong negotiation skills related to compensation, fees, relocation assistance, and offer management
• Excellent communication, organizational, and follow-up skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, CRM systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and major job boards
