AlphaGraphics NW San Antonio Part-Time Production Technician

AlphaGraphics NW San Antonio is a fast-paced print and sign shop in San Antonio looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Production Technician. In this role, you will support both our Digital Cut Sheet and Large Format departments. You'll work directly with our Production Manager and Large Format Technician to keep jobs moving smoothly, handle print finishing, and assist with everyday production tasks. Key Responsibilities

• Digital & Large Format Finishing: Perform bindery and finishing work for both departments, including cutting, folding, laminating, weeding vinyl, mounting graphics, grommeting banners, and packaging finished products.
• Production Support: Assist lead technicians with print runs, material handling, equipment setup, and staging jobs for pickup or delivery.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished jobs for accuracy, clean cuts, correct dimensions, and high quality before packing.
• Inventory & Shop Upkeep: Monitor stock levels for paper, vinyl, laminates, and packaging supplies. Keep production areas, tables, and equipment clean, organized, and safe.
• General Shop Duties: Assist with loading/unloading shipments and preparing orders for customer pickup or shipping.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Prior experience in print production, sign manufacturing, or a skilled trade is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong eye for detail, precision cutting, and alignment.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and comfortably use hand tools (utility knives, squeegees, rulers, grommet presses).
• Work Ethic: Punctual, reliable, and able to take direction well from the Production Manager while managing your time effectively.
• Communication: Clear communication skills to keep team members updated on job statuses and potential delays.
