This position assists the wait staff with the selling of wines during service in the dining room.We offer competitive compensation and paid time off for part-time employees and potential 401K retirement plan as well as exclusive employee discounts on both our glass and pottery products and at our restaurant. This role is eligible for participation in the Restaurant Equity Program which is administered on a quarterly basis.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Restocking and organizing wine deliveriesMaintenance of the wine list, including checking vintage dates, correct spelling and regionsOrganizing and inputting invoices into spreadsheetMonthly inventory counts and inputting into spreadsheetOrganizing orders and inputting into POS and wine listMeeting and exceeding revenue targets, service standards and guest satisfaction resultsSecondary Duties and Responsibilities:Assist Beverage Director with planning needsAssisting FOH managers in wine trainingCommunication of wine changesQualifications Required:High School diploma or equivalent2-4 years restaurant experienceExcellent knowledge of wines and winery practicesAbility to work independently and collaborativelyAbility to multitaskDemonstrate excellent customer serviceQualifications Desired:Strong communications skillsComfortable working with POS systems, spreadsheets, word processingThorough and organizedPhysical Demands and Work Environment:The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of thosethat must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
