Job Description

The client is seeking a strategic, highly visible tax leader to build and own a best-in-class tax function within a large, multi-entity organization. The role will operate at the intersection of executive leadership and business growth, providing exposure to tax planning initiatives and supporting decision-making across a complex operating environment spanning multiple jurisdictions and international footprints, including involvement in renewable energy-related efforts. Key responsibilities include leading all tax-related functions across the organization, driving tax planning and compliance strategy aligned with acquisitions, operational expansion, and ongoing business complexity. The position will ensure accurate and timely tax reporting under ASC 740 by partnering closely with accounting and treasury leadership, and will support international tax requirements such as transfer pricing and Pillar Two compliance. In addition, the role will partner with executive leadership on forecasting, cash flow planning, and risk mitigation tied to tax exposure. The ideal candidate will have progressive tax experience (8+ years) with leadership responsibility over teams and complex tax environments, along with strong technical knowledge across federal, state, and international tax, including ASC 740. Experience in large, multi-entity organizations (industry or public accounting) and demonstrated exposure to international tax structures, transfer pricing, and global compliance are expected, as is the ability to lead, mentor, and scale teams while collaborating cross-functionally with senior leadership.
