As a Security Officer Patrol Coverage Guard in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related concerns, and support residents, staff, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions at the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, common areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, policy concerns, and/or maintenance issues that may require attention.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and report security-related concerns, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations according to post instructions.
• Support a respectful environment within the shelter setting by assisting with de-escalation, providing directions, and following established procedures for resident and visitor interactions.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
