Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool - Nights

$20,000 Sign on bonus eligibility

Schedule : 12 hours shift for full-time requiring 36 hours/week with every other weekend

As a part of our Float Pool team you will get the opportunity to work in several of our nursing units here at Sovah Health. 

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN)  who excels in this role:

• Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and related medical care.
• Documents care provided in a timely, accurate manner.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Displays initiative and flexibility to float throughout the building to support departments and staff.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support).

Sovah Health - Danville (\"Danville\") is a 250-bed academic community hospital with the region's only designated Chest Pain Center & Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center. The second largest employer in the City of Danville, the facility has served the community and region for more than 120 years and was formerly known as The Memorial Hospital and Danville Regional Medical Center.

What we're looking for 

Applicants must be a graduate of a professional school of nursing

Should have a current VA RN license or compact state

Bachelors preferred but not required

Previous experience highly preferred

Additional requirements include:

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support

• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within three (3) months of hire

• American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENPC) Emergency Nurse Association required or within six (6) months of hire.
