Position Overview Security Officer – Armed TS/SCI position. Requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and an active U.S. Government security clearance. Works 8-hour shifts supporting Westminster and Longmont offices, may include night shift work. Responsibilities Execute all Vantor Physical Security policies and procedures. Ensure the work environment is safe and well-maintained. Interact and aid employees, contractors, visitors, and fellow officers. Prepare pass-down, incident, and daily activity reports. Monitor security surveillance systems. Create, issue, and collect employee identification badges. Grant, remove, and audit area access using applicable databases. Carry, operate, and communicate using radio communications. Investigate and report hazards, unusual, or suspicious circumstances. Authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to protect against theft, damage, and harm. Patrol classified and unclassified premises to prevent and detect intrusion and secure entry points. Support security training and briefings. Conduct end-of-day security checks. Conduct classified area open/close procedures. Safeguard classified materials and protect combinations and access to security containers and vaults. Maintain inventory of keys, locks, and electronic access-control devices. Escort personnel throughout the facility, including classified areas. Respond immediately to emergency scenarios including hostile acts, threats of violence, natural and manmade disasters, and medical emergencies. Minimum Requirements U.S. citizen. Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Willingness to undergo a CI polygraph examination if requested. 21 years or older, able to carry a firearm and non-lethal weapons as directed. Strong decision-making, communication, observation, public relations, and customer service skills. High school diploma or GED. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to climb stairs and ladders, run short distances, and patrol exterior grounds on foot for extended periods. Capacity to work in inclement weather, including snow, ice, and heat. A willingness to use force in response to emergency situations and to receive training on use of force, de-escalation, self-defense, and response procedures. Employment contingent upon verification of clearance status. Preferred Qualifications Current adjudicated CI or full-scope polygraph. 2-4 years of customer service experience. 2-4 years of experience in physical security, military, first responder, or security services. Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience with access-control and intrusion-detection systems, security surveillance systems. Knowledge of deadly-force and use-of-force law, de-escalation tactics, medical response procedures, and crisis communication. Export Control / ITAR Certain roles may be subject to U.S. export control laws, requiring U.S. person status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). Pay Transparency Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. For Colorado, hourly rates range from $33.75 to $49.50. Rates may differ in other states based on local cost of labor.
