Overhead Crane Operator - Pay Range= $20-24 This position is temporary with an opportunity to be hired on full-time
Integrity Trade Services is hiring am Overhead Crane Operator (dual hoist crane) for our Steel client to start at $20-24/hr. Receive comprehensive benefits through ITS upon hire!
Responsibilities: The Overhead Crane Operator will stage, load, and unload material among other duties in a safe and efficient manner
- Operates overhead cranes in a safe and efficient manner and applies understanding of equipment so as to not overload the cranes.
- Cut steel using various size saws in a safe and efficient manner
- Replenish all fluids, cutting oils and hydraulic oil as needed.
- Capable of incorporating saw cutting into the load stacking processes and proficiently use of torch and banding equipment.
- Inspects equipment, including overhead cranes and saws and completes inspection reports.
- Reads and understands paperwork so that orders are processed correctly.
- Uses tape measure and micrometer.
- Records all information correctly on paperwork to include material heat #, Location and any changes with original orders.
- Uses a welding machine and saw to make cuts for customers as needed.
- Uses banding equipment to band product.
- Applies understanding of color codes to mark all material into a correct manner.
- Applies understanding of where and how materials are located in the warehouse and restocks materials in the correct location as it arrives.
- Helps out with basic cleaning duties, maintains clean space
Overtime is as needed.
Location: Peotone, IL
Schedule/Shift Details: - Second Shift 1:30-10:30 pm
Qualifications - At least 1 year of dual hoist crane experience (10 tons or above)
- Must have experience operating a Dual Hoist Overhead Crane
- Able to work outside and in weather conditions
- Ability to read/write/understand English

- IL Paid Leave for All Workers
- An employee that works in Illinois is entitled to accrue and use up to 40 hours of paid leave during a 12 month period or a pro rata number of hours of paid leave under the provisions of the State of Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act. The 12 month accrual period is considered to begin for new employees on the employees first day of employment. An employee is entitled to begin using earned and accrued paid leave time 90 calendar days after commencement of employment. Paid leave under this Act shall accrue at the rate of one hour of paid leave for every 40 hours worked up to 40 hours of paid leave
401(k) with company match for eligible employees.
Eligibility: Active employees with one year of work and during that one year has completed 1,000 hours of service and is at least 21 years of age. Entry dates into the 401(k) are: 1/1 or 7/1 following the one year of service and completing 1,000 hours of work.
The company will match 100% of the first 3% of the employee contribution. As well as, match 50% of the next 2% of the employee contribution. (The company contribution/match maximum is 4%)
