Job Summary The Department of Economics and Finance at the University of North Georgia (UNG) is currently accepting applications for a lecturer position in economics for the 2026-2027 academic year in the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB). Responsibilities The successful candidate for this position must be eligible to teach economics at the undergraduate level. Quality teaching and student engagement are high priorities in the MCCB. Teaching assignments will include principles of microeconomics and principles of macroeconomics. Teaching may also include other economics courses, such as those focused on financial literacy or those in the economics minor. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of teaching and learning practices Knowledge of theoretical and applied concepts of economics Passion for working with students to develop their skills and expertise Oral and written communication skills. Ability to work as part of a collaborative team Required Qualifications Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in economics or equivalent is required, preferably from an AACSB-accredited institution. Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to applicants who have a record of excellent teaching and commitment to economics education. Preference will also be given to applicants with significant industry experience relevant to the field of economics.
