Northern Nurseries in Cicero, NY is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Customer Service & Labor Associate to join our team for the spring–fall season. We’re a leading supplier for professional landscapers, offering the Northeast’s largest selection of trees, shrubs, evergreens, perennials, and landscape materials. Our customers rely on us for a seamless, one-stop shopping experience—and you’ll play a key role in making that happen.
What You’ll Do
•Support landscape professionals by assisting with product selection and providing exceptional customer service.
•Write and process new customer orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
•Organize and stage horticultural products for delivery to job sites.
•Maintain a clean, organized yard and help manage inventory throughout the season.
•Load and unload plant material, hardscape products, and other landscape supplies from trucks and customer vehicles.
•Replenish, move, and care for nursery stock as directed.
•Operate equipment such as forklifts or loaders (experience preferred but not required).
•Perform additional duties as needed to support daily operations.
This is a hands-on, physical role—candidates must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Requirements:What We’re Looking For
•Energetic, dependable, and committed to excellent customer service.
•Experience in the green industry, horticulture, landscaping, or related fields is highly valued.
•Familiarity with nursery goods, hardscape materials, irrigation, lighting, fertilizers, soil amendments, and pest/weed control products is a plus.
•Willingness to learn our product lines and grow your knowledge.
•Strong work ethic with a focus on safety.
•Ability to work outdoors for extended periods.
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Must be at least 18 years old.
•Experience in nurseries, greenhouses, farming, forestry, or irrigation products is a bonus.
•Equipment experience (forklifts, front-end loaders) is helpful but not required.
