Job Description Olsson delivers a boutique creative design experience to our clients and our people, backed by the expertise and resources of our whole company. The Associate Landscape Designer role is a continuing developmental position that performs standard techniques and procedures and applies knowledge of established methods, practices, and programs. The Associate Landscape Designer relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while working within a limited scope and under general supervision. This position assists with generating ideas and creating designs that provide purposeful, high-quality solutions to successfully solve design needs and bring landscape visions to life. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Provides small scale design elements for landscape architecture projects usingfundamental knowledge, standard techniques, and established methods for small to mid-sized projects. Performs basic plan production and receives instructions for necessary tasks. Develops and applies knowledge and experience working within design and modeling software. Assists with preparation of project documentation and schedules and performs designcalculations within a limited scope. Coordinates with experienced landscape architects and designers on non-routinetechniques and procedures. Gathers research, recommends solutions, and creates drafts of technical reports usingprescribed methods. Mentors student interns by providing opportunities for developing basic technical skillsand knowledge. Gains experience with creating and maintaining project and client information within thefirm’s project management system. May travel and work in all types of terrain and weather conditions at project sites invarious stages of construction. Qualifications You are passionate about: Working collaboratively with others. Has the ability to diligently research applicable requirements and regulations. Has advanced mathematical and analytical abilities.
