Why Work Here?
You join a team that offers steady, ongoing project work and the opportunity to transition from contract to permanent employment based on performance. Once permanent, you receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical coverage, a 401(k) plan, five sick PTO days per year, one week of PTO vacation after six months, two weeks of PTO vacation after two years, and ten paid holidays annually, including extended time for major holidays. The organization values reliability and quality work, rewarding strong performers with consistent hours and opportunities to stay on long-term and move between high-profile projects. Work Environment
The role is based in industrial and manufacturing facilities in Portland, TN, supporting two primary projects with standard daytime schedules. One project operates approximately from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and another from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing consistent, full-time hours. Work is performed inside active manufacturing plants, often around facility employees, so you must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Much of the work involves being on boom lifts and working at heights up to 40 feet to run overhead conduit and pull wire, so comfort with heights and strict adherence to safety practices are essential. You will work with tools and equipment common to industrial electrical construction, including EMT and rigid conduit, MC cable, welders, industrial machinery, and boom lifts. Some areas, such as certain facilities, are air conditioned, providing a more comfortable environment while performing tasks like hooking up equipment, pulling MC cable, running conduit, terminating power, and working on circuitry. The dress code aligns with a professional industrial setting, requiring appropriate work attire and PPE suitable for construction and manufacturing environments.
