We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Event Delivery Driver to join our team. This essential position is responsible for safely transporting event rental equipment to and from customer locations throughout Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. Delivery Drivers are critical in making events come to life by ensuring timely delivery, professional setup assistance, and excellent customer service. Box truck driving experience is required for this position.  Seasonal position.  Starts mid to late March, runs through November.  Weekly schedule is approximately Monday through Friday, 730am until 530pm.   

• Safely operate box trucks, sprinter vans, and pickup trucks to deliver and retrieve rental equipment
• Transport event rental items including tents, tables, chairs, linens, stages, dance floors, lighting, and other equipment
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure on-time arrivals
• Drive to various customer locations throughout Connecticut and Western Massachusetts
• Maintain vehicles in clean and safe operating condition
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• All driving time is paid

Loading & Unloading

• Load and unload event rental equipment from delivery vehicles
• Ensure proper loading techniques to prevent damage during transport
• Use dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment to safely move items
• Verify accurate equipment counts before departure and upon return
• Work with warehouse team to prepare vehicles for daily deliveries

Installation & Setup Assistance

• Assist installation crews with setup and breakdown of rental equipment on event sites
• Help position tables, chairs, tents, and other items according to customer specifications and event plans
• Work as part of the delivery and installation team to ensure proper setup
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and venue hosts professionally

Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service at all delivery and pickup locations
• Represent Taylor Rental Party Plus professionally at customer sites
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding deliveries and equipment
• Address customer questions or concerns in a helpful and courteous manner
• Delegate expectations and order details with team members while onsite

Quality Control & Documentation

• Conduct quality inspections of equipment before loading
• Verify equipment counts are accurate before and after deliveries
• Complete delivery paperwork and documentation
• Report any missing items, damages, or client issues to dispatch
• Ensure all rental items meet company standards

Required Qualifications

• Box truck driving experience is required
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record (MVR will be reviewed)
• Ability to safely operate vehicles ranging from pickup trucks to 26-foot box trucks
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and peak event seasons
• Physical capability to perform demanding work including: 
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50-80 pounds regularly
  • Loading and unloading trucks repeatedly throughout the day
  • Bending, stooping, reaching, and standing for extended periods
  • Working outdoors in various weather conditions
