Job Description What You’ll Do: As an Employment Support Specialist (Job Coach), you’ll provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities as they explore, secure, and succeed in competitive, integrated employment. You’ll be a mentor, advocate, and partner in helping others reach their goals through: Meeting clients in their homes and community to build trust and connection Conducting career assessments that focus on individual strengths, skills, and interests Helping develop or revise resumes, practice interviews, and identify job leads Supporting onboarding and training with new employers Providing ongoing coaching to promote job retention and personal growth Attending team meetings, writing progress reports, and maintaining clear communication Creating positive, lasting impact—one job, one goal, one success at a time This hybrid role includes in-person and remote work, with up to two days per week working from home based on service needs. Mileage for work-related travel is reimbursed. Qualifications What You Bring to the Table: Required (Must-Have) Must meet requirements of a Designated Coordinator High school diploma or GED plus at least 4 years of experience providing direct care or support to individuals with disabilities or older adults OR Associate degree in human services, education, or a related field plus at least 2 years of experience providing direct care or support to individuals with disabilities or older adults OR Bachelor’s degree in human services, education, or a related field plus at least 1 year of experience providing direct care or support to individuals with disabilities or older adults Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance Must be at least 18 years of age Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, or lift Skills & Abilities Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with internal and external team members Experience teaching, coaching, or mentoring individuals in employment-related skills Knowledge of the job market and hiring process Demonstrates integrity by maintaining confidentiality and following organizational policies Highly organized, flexible, and able to manage multiple tasks or unexpected demands professionally Fluency in ASL, Spanish, Hmong, Somali, or Oromo preferred Proficient with using technology for documentation ➡️ Curious what it's like to be a Job Coach?
